At JDR Software, we feel it’s important to contribute to the Higher Education industry in any way we can. Our March 2024 WIL (Work Integrated Learning) participants are Dinesh Reddy and Pravindu Lokuarumage.

March 2024 WIL Student – Dinesh

We are very lucky to have Dinesh with us right now, who is studying for a Master of Information Technology (Professional) at Deakin University. Dinesh comes to us as an experienced Quality Engineer. Combining his previous work experience with the knowledge he has gained in pursuing his Master’s, Dinesh will be of immense assistance in testing new features in Allocate Plus. Even with his background, Dinesh sees his time here at JDR Software as a great opportunity to enhance his testing skills and experience. By choosing to study a Master of Information Technology Dinesh is working towards moving into the Data Engineering space in his career.

In addition to honing his technical skills, the WIL program at JDR is giving Dinesh his first experience of the Australian workplace culture. He admires the work environment and testing process here. He has been particularly taken by the friendly competitions and social activities that are taking place. Whether that’s a friendly game of chess between colleagues or the monthly Birthday celebrations. All of which contribute to an engaging environment and allow for a bit of stress relief.

March 2024 WIL Student – Pravindu

Pravindu is currently in his final year of a Software Engineering degree at Deakin University. Joining JDR Software with the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, Pravindu hopes to gain a better understanding and experience regarding how the software industry tests new products. In addition, he’s also keen to take this opportunity to immerse himself in the general work environment and learn more about the Software Development industry.

In his downtime, Pravindu enjoys drawing portraits and characters. So it’s understandable that post-graduation, Pravindu is hoping to take his technical skills and experience, and combine that with his interest in illustration to pursue a career in Games Design/Development.
